Art Includes Audio

Strollers through the most recent Art after Dark night in SLO Oct. 6 might have noticed the change over to the current exhibit at the History Center of San Luis Obispo County in the old Carnegie Library building near the SLO Mission.

For the next several months the museum features the story of the Central Coast Wine Classic, founded by nonprofit radio station KCBX and producer Archie McLaren.  For 32 years the Classic was credited with expanding the pallet of the local industry with the last held this year.  The exhibit included prize bottles from various years, with etched glass labels an interesting visual.

If walkers were especially industrious making their way up Monterey Street, HumanKind Fair Trade kicked off October as ‘Fair Trade Month’ with music outside, an ‘Bicycle DJ’ showed off his self sufficient turntable rig and Mama Ganache Artisan Chocolates offered a tannin comparison between South American chocolate varieties paired with wine.
