Bill Murray will bring “New Worlds”

Actor and comedian Bill Murray will bring “New Worlds” his spirited mix of music and prose to the Performing Arts Center at Cal Poly at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8. Famous for numerous movies like “Caddyshack,” “Stripes,” “Ground Hog Day,” and “Scrooged,” as well as being one of the early cast members of Saturday Night Live, Murray teams with German cellist Jan Vogler and Friends for a new take on classic music and literature. The duo perform songs by Foster, Gershwin, Mancini, and Bernstein, and readings from classic American poetry and prose, in dialogue with Vogler’s Stradivari cello.
