Originally built in 1963 the Blade Structure in Poly Canyon is one of the twenty-one unique structures built along the hiking trail of Design Village, the first being built in 1957. Although the original structure collapsed, it was rebuilt in 2008. Since the 70s Poly Canyon has been the outdoor architecture testing/experimental area for architect students. The hike is about 2.5 miles with a very slight elevation gain of 300 feet.
