The 8th Annual Jesse King Memorial Paddle Race is set for 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 30 in Morro Bay Harbor.
All paddle craft are welcome, including kayaks, canoes, and stand-up paddleboards (no motors or sails), for 3K and 10K distance courses. Registration is $40 ($50 beach entry).
To register by phone, call The Paddleboard Company at (805) 225-5555. The event starts at 8:30 a.m. at Coleman Beach (Mother’s Beach) inside the harbor on Embarcadero.
The race is a benefit for the Friends of the Morro Bay Harbor Department and Morro Bay Junior Lifeguard Program.
