Man Arrested in DUI Crash

A local man has been arrested for suspicion of felony drunk driving after a 2-car collision in San Luis Obispo
According to San Luis Obispo Police Sgt. Aaron Schafer, officers responded to a report of a traffic collision involving two vehicles at 1:29 a.m. Saturday, March 11 at the intersection of Santa Rosa and Monterey streets.
An investigation revealed that a car driven by Nicholas Hembree was eastbound on Monterey and collided with another vehicle going northbound on Santa Rosa.
Sgt. Schafer said, “Several occupants from both vehicles were transported to local hospitals with moderate injuries.”
Both drivers were given sobriety tests, and Sgt. Schafer said Hembree, 27, was allegedly DUI and was arrested for suspicion of felony drunk driving causing a collision with injury. He was booked into County Jail with bail set at $100,000.
