Masons Honor Local Students

Twelve students from local high schools were recently honored “For exemplary achievement and community service” by San Luis Obispo’s King David’s Lodge, No. 209 of Free & Accepted Masons.

“These individuals,” reads a news release, “by their zeal, endeavor, and hard work have shown themselves to be outstanding citizens and the leaders of the next generation.”

The teens were feted along with their families, friends, and school staff at a gala dinner, and each received a $1,600 scholarship for college from the Masons.
