Cuesta College Small Pool Reopens July 13

Drop-in aqua-therapy classes at Cuesta College will resume on a drop-in basis Monday, July 13, after repairs to the pool were completed last week.

Cuesta closed the 60,000 gallon warm-water pool in June to make emergency repairs to stop it from leaking. More than 100 aqua-therapy classes were canceled during the shut down, along with children’s swim lessons. The swim lessons will be resumed soon, as well.

“Our Facilities Department worked very quickly to repair the pool so that we could get our patrons back in the water as soon as possible,” said Director of Community Programs Matthew Green.

The school’s larger pool will be closed in December for complete repairs, part of a long list of repairs and new construction projects at the campus with Measure L bond monies.

Registered aquatics program participants are being contacted by the school about the pool reopening. For questions, call Community Programs at (805) 546-3132.
