24-Hour PR Giveaway

Nominations are in for Verdin Marketing’s Second Annual 24-Hour Rebranding contest and one lucky local non-profit organization will get a PR makeover.

Verdin will once again work with the winning organization on a complete rebranding inside a 24-hour period.

Beginning at 8 a.m. on Nov. 12 through 8 a.m. Nov. 13, Verdin will donate the time of all departments and services, with an estimated value of $30,000.

The nomination process opened on Sept. 24 and ended Oct. 9. The public will have the chance to vote on a winner Oct. 22-30. The agency with the most votes will win the rebrand.

Smaller non-profit organizations often lack the budget for proper branding that, in turn, reduces their visibility and chance for more funding. “This was an experiment last year, to see what kind of response we’d get and how much we could accomplish in a 24-hour period,” company president Mary Verdin said. “What we found was that, not only were we able to produce an amazing tool chest of high-quality materials for Op C.O.Y., who won the rebrand, but it was energizing for everyone involved, and an amazing team-building experience.”

The total value of the 2014 Give event was estimated at more than $80,000, with contributions added to Verdin’s resources. Partners included ITECH Solutions, Red Canary, Mac Superstore, Central Coast Printing, PrintPal Promotions & Printing, UPS Store (Marigold Center), Farmer & Ready, and Left Coast T-shirt Company.

The theme for this year’s event is “Mission: Made Possible.” To watch their “top-secret” video explaining how to be involved, see: www.verdinmarketing.com/giving.
