Lion Dancers for New Years

ChDncrs-08By Neil Farrell

The Cal Poly Lion Dance Team wowed the crowd once again at the 12th Annual Chinese New Year celebration and blessing ritual held Feb. 21 at Volumes of Pleasure Bookshop in Los Osos. We are now in the year of the sheep and with this year’s event the bookshop has now celebrated each of the 12 symbols of the Chinese Zodiak. Traditionally, the year of the sheep is highly creative and people may express their artistic natures and find greater pleasure in simply following their heart’s desires, while allowing others the freedom to do the same. It can be a year when world conflicts and upheavals are less likely, too. Photos by Neil Farrell
