Police Investigating Vehicle Vs. Pedestrian Accident

police carGrover Beach Police are investigating an accident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

On Thursday, Jan. 9 at about 6:34 p.m., police responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision in the area of N.4th St. and Ramona Ave.

According to reports, when emergency personnel arrival they found a female in her twenties with moderate injuries. She was hit by a car while crossing the street in the crosswalk. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The driver involved in the collision, a man in his thirties whose name has not been released, was cited for being an unlicensed driver and for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
