SLO Police Seek Bank Robber

San Luis Obispo Police are searching for a gunman who robbed a U.S. Bank branch at 3991 S. Higuera St., at 3:28 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2.

SLOPD Sgt. John Villanti said, “a black, male, adult entered the bank, approached the teller, brandished a pistol and demanded money. The teller complied with the suspect’s demand. The suspect fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect was described by witnesses as wearing a tan colored hat, green bandana on his face and all black shirt and pants.”

Police released a photo of the robber taken from surveillance video. It shows what appears to be a handgun in the suspect’s right hand pointing at the teller. His long sleeve shirt is unusual with white stripes across the buttonholes and a white lining.

Sgt. Villanti is asking anyone who has information about this crime to call the SLOPD at (805) 781-7312 or Crime Stoppers (805-549-7867).
