The Rotary Club of Templeton is holding the Second Annual Templeton Chili Cook-off from noon-5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24 on Main Street, as part of the Founders Day Street Fair.
Applications are now being accepted for home chili cooks who want to compete for a first prize of $500 cash. Applications and contest details are online at: TempletonRotary.com.
Proceeds support Rotary projects in the community and around the world. Tasting tickets are $10 and available online at: www.TempletonRotary.com or at the Templeton Chamber of Commerce, 321 S. Main St. The Founders Day Street Fair is free and features live bluegrass music by Amber Cross; craft and food vendors, community performances; beer and wine; antique engines, autos and tractors; a blacksmith demonstration; a kids activity area; tours of the Historical Museum plus a free slice of pie or cake.
