SLO’s 4th Annual Día de Los Muertos celebration was held in in Mission Plaza on Nov. 4.
The festive, family-friendly event began with a procession from the Bear Fountain and continued until 3 p.m. with decorated altars, traditional dances, mariachi music, poets, arts and crafts. The event celebrates and honors “Elders and Ancestors” with the public invited to bring photos of their own elders and ancestors to place on the main altar.
