The Cayucos Car Show handed the Best of Show trophy to Jerry and Susie Rava of Paso Robles for their copper-pearl, 1939 Studebaker Truck as the 26th edition of he little show by the beach took over Downtown on Nov. 5. Some 300 custom cars and trucks, hot rods and classics lined Ocean Avenue bringing thousands of folks out for the event. The show marks the start of the end of year events in the ‘Town That Time Forgot’ and is the last big car show in SLO County for the year. At 5 p.m. Sunday Dec. 4 is the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting at Ocean and D Street. And on Saturday, Dec. 10 along Ocean Avenue is the 10th Annual Downtown Open House with free, horse drawn carriage rides, children’s activities, tree lighting, strolling carolers and a visit from Santa.
